BirdMangerTM Toys will distract your parrot while you stay abreast of world news, steal a kiss from your spouse, or generally have some kind of life of your own. Our Toys stand up to Grays, Amazons, Cockatoos, even Macaws. Little birds love them just as much, but use them differently. None of the birds want to give them up even for washing. That's the beauty of a BirdMangerTM Toy! Once it is hung where you want it, you never have to fight your bird to take it down. BirdMangerTM Toys are tough. They may be pressure washed, or even taken to the car wash right along with the cage. |
BirdMangerTM TOYS have had perfect safety records with our birds for many years or we would not be offering them to you! |

"You put me in here, took your silly picture, and now you just think you're going to take me out!" |

BirdMangerTM TUBE SWINGS are even more popular with the birds since we added florescent visors at both ends. |

GRAYS ARE CLUMSY! We invented the BirdMangerTM TUBE SWING to allow my beloved Kathryn to play or sleep in the swing without the threat of falling to the bottom of the cage. The Acrylic Tube has the added advantage of holding body heat in winter months and keeping her--and Walter who has his own--out of drafts. |
"Who says I'm clumsy?
Stick your hand in here, Chicken!"

Safety is always a Primary Concern at BirdMangerTM! With more than 250 parrots in our research flock we have neither the time for much supervision or time to replace flimsy toys. There have been no accidents, with any of these designs. Period! One Quaker lost the privilege of having a tire swing because he repeatedly pulled it back and deliberately let it swing at his mate. He never liked her much, anyway, and he was eventually moved to another cage with another hen. There was a tire swing in that cage and I never saw him even try to ambush the second wife. BirdMangerTM takes no responsibility for the way your bird plays with BirdMangerTM Toys! |
Every Pet Owner has the responsibility to observe the way their pet plays with any new toy! Once in a while there will be a bird that plays with common toys in dangerous ways. If a bird wraps a chain (or string or rope) toy around his neck or leg in any fashion--remove the toy immediately!

A WORD About Chain! For more than thirty years we have used the chain in these toys--to make swings, fasten and mend cages, hang nest boxes and just about every way you can imagine chain could possibly be used in an aviary! We have had no problems at all! There has been much ado about Chain in the Bird Press lately . Both of my Vet friends tell me that when a bird comes down with "Chain Sickness" what that really means is that the treating Vet has not one clue in the world what is wrong with the bird!

The Best Toy by Far for Smart Birds is a Television! A cage is an unnatural environment. Smart birds without entertainment tend to create their own excitement! Screaming, feather plucking, shredding everything they can reach. TV is about as good a baby sitter for birds as it is for children--with all the same pitfalls! Television increases a bird's vocabulary rapidly, because they see the action with the word! Radio does nothing I can see, but create a nervous, noisy bird! Most Humans keep the volume of both way too loud for birds. They have very keen hearing. If you see your bird repeatedly shaking his head, it may be that the TV or radio is painfully loud for him. Don't be guilty of causing the same pain to your bird that teenager's "Rap Music" may cause you! |
